Visitors to Walmart’s Supply Chain, Replenishment and Logistics operations marvel
at the fluid processes that keep the world’s largest retailer running. When your
every decision allows communities across the country to live better, being the most
efficient Logistics operation on the planet is not an option.
Steady, synchronized and unrivaled in its leadership, Walmart has one of the largest
private distribution operations in the world. Each of our 40 Regional U.S. Distribution
Centers is over 1 million square feet in constant movement. Our centers are 24/7
operations that keep 7,200 tractors and 53,000 trailers rolling to stock more than
7,000 stores and wholesale clubs with inventory around the clock and across the
country.
Our Replenishment group interacts with nearly every department in the operations
chain. Here, you’ll work with buyers, suppliers, logistics and store operations
to develop forecasts and cost analyses, as well as find new channels and sustainable
ways to meet changing business and customer needs, and improve the way the world
lives.
Logistics is the division at our core, keeping millions of products moving to customers
each day, while using the latest environmentally sustainable practices to drive
us. Walmart’s senior management understands the competitive advantage that our Logistics
operation provides, and they support the division with capital investment, and our
associates with training and development. This is not true of all companies. But
at Walmart, we recognize that doing so gives us a strategic edge.
Challenge yourself and advance your skills in supply chain management, demand planning,
inventory management, supply planning and logistics operations at Walmart and Sam’s
Club.
